Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I register for classes?
To register for a Community Education class most people register online using the “online registration” tab. If you don’t have an account set up with us yet, then the first time you register it could take a few minutes. Also, if you are having difficulties on a phone or small tablet registering for a class remember our site works best on a computer, you may want to try registering on a computer instead.
You can also call in a registration to the Community Education Office at (507) 634-4464. Please have payment information ready when you call. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
Registration is not complete until payment has been received.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refunds will be issued if Community Education cancels a class. If a participant cancels their registration at least one week prior to the class start date, a refund will be issued minus a $5 processing fee or the cost of supplies/t-shirt (whichever is greater). No refunds will be issued on or after the class/event start date.
In the event of cancellations due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, programs that meet more than once in a session will typically not be eligible for refunds and may not have make-up sessions scheduled. For one-time classes or events, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide a refund.
If multiple classes within the same session are canceled, Community Education reserves the right to review each situation and determine whether a make-up class or partial refund is appropriate. All decisions regarding cancellations, make-ups, and refunds will be made at the discretion of the Community Education office based on the specific circumstances.
Are scholarships available to help with the cost of tuition?
It is our desire that everyone in the community has an opportunity to participate in Community Education events and classes. If your financial situation is preventing you from registering, please contact us for scholarship information. All requests will remain confidential.
Do you allow for UCare Member discounts?
Community Education does work with UCare. If you are a member, please indicate that information on your registration form and we will see to it that you receive the member discount on your classes.
When do the new brochures come out?
The K-M Community Education brochure is published 3 times each year. They are distributed via U.S. Mail to all box holders in Kasson and Mantorville. You can expect delivery to occur the week after Labor Day in September, the first week in January and the third week of April. If you do not receive a brochure, please call to have your name added to our mailing list.
